Gidmi, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with share capital of €2,000, registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 106 869 472 (RCS Paris), with its registered office at 138 avenue Victor Hugo, 75016 Paris, France, is the data controller for personal data collected on this site. Data Collected
When you join the waitlist, we collect only your email address. Using our free tools also involves processing the text or image you submit and your IP address, as described in the 'Free tools' section. If you unlock additional tries on a free tool, we also collect the email address you provide.
Purpose and Legal Basis
Your email address is used solely to contact you regarding the Gidmi pilot programme. The legal basis is your consent, expressed when you submit the form.
Retention Period
Your email address is retained for 3 years from the last contact, unless you request earlier deletion. The same applies to an address left in order to unlock tries on a free tool.
Free tools
Our free tools, such as the Easy Read simplifier, the alt text generator or the exhibition label reviewer, process two pieces of data when you use them. The content you submit (a text or an image, with its optional context) is sent to a third-party artificial intelligence service to produce the result: it is not kept after processing, nor used to train a model. An image may contain personal data, such as recognisable people: do not submit an image you have no right to use. Your IP address is stored for up to 26 hours, to limit the number of free uses per day and to prevent abuse. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in providing a functional service protected against abuse. This processing of the content and the IP address takes place on infrastructure operated in Europe. If you have used your tries for the day, you can unlock more by leaving your email address. That address is used to write to you about Gidmi. It is not kept by the site and feeds no mailing list: it reaches us through a single email, sent to our contact inbox, which passes through our sending provider outside the European Union. The legal basis is your consent, expressed when you submit the form after reading this purpose. You can ask us to stop writing to you at any time, by replying to one of our emails or writing to privacy@getgidmi.com. A strictly necessary cookie is then set, to remember the unlock for 90 days: it contains only a random identifier, unrelated to your address, and enables no tracking. The providers involved are listed in the 'Recipients' section.
Audience Measurement
To understand site traffic, we use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel, Inc. This tool works without cookies, collects no data that could identify you, and performs no cross-site tracking. The statistics produced are aggregated and anonymous. As this measurement is strictly limited to audience analysis, it is exempt from consent under the CNIL's guidelines.
Recipients
Your data is processed by our sub-processors: Clerk, Inc. (waitlist management), Vercel, Inc. (site hosting), Google Cloud (artificial-intelligence processing of the texts and images submitted to our free tools), Upstash (limiting the number of uses of our free tools), and Resend, Inc. (delivering the emails of our free tools). Site hosting, artificial-intelligence processing and use limiting take place on infrastructure operated in Europe. Email addresses entrusted to our sending provider are stored in the United States, under the conditions described in the 'Transfers Outside the EEA' section. No data is shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Transfers Outside the EEA
Some technical providers process your data from countries outside the EEA, including the United States. This is the case for our email sending provider: it stores addresses, technical logs and message metadata there. These transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses and by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Gidmi ensures appropriate safeguards are in place.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your data, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@getgidmi.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
